NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida is in a HURICON III status and continues to prep for the upcoming storm Nicole.
Hurricane conditions are expected across portions of the coast of southeast and east-central Florida beginning late Wednesday or Wednesday night (Nov. 9). A dangerous storm surge is expected along much of the east coast of Florida and portions of coastal Georgia.

Artemis I-specific launch updates will be posted to the mission's discussion topic.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex release
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex to Close Wednesday and Thursday Due to Threat of Severe Weather from Tropical Storm Nicole

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be closed beginning Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the recommendation of the Brevard County Emergency Management Office. Severe weather is expected on the Central Florida coast due to Tropical Storm Nicole.

The visitor complex expects to reopen on Friday, Nov. 11 after a thorough assessment of the property has been complete.

During the closure, guests will not be permitted onto visitor complex grounds.

The safety of our guests and crewmembers is our top priority. As we continue to monitor Tropical Storm Nicole, we will provide updates as needed.

From Kennedy Space Center (via Twitter):
Kennedy was deemed weather safe and will return to an "open" status tonight at 5 p.m. EST.

The Ride Out Team surveyed the center and found minor damage.

From the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (via Twitter):
SLD 45 has given the all clear as of 1600.

Though the all clear has been given, many base agencies will return to normal operations tomorrow, November 11.

All attractions, exhibits, programs and the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour will be open for regular operating hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning November 11.
