My family and I have bumped into Garry (MarylandSpace) at two space functions and just a week or so ago my daughter received this package in the mail. She has been collecting patches, stickers, and other space related stuff for the past two years so she was very excited to get this in the mail.

She was very excited to see all the different stamps. The only one she was not familiar with was the Viking stamp.

Thanks Garry!

She then realized it was not just a box with cool stamps, but there was an assortment of patches and stickers inside!

Great pics! And way to go Garry!

Dr. Jeff....drop me a line. I have some items that I would like to send to your daughter. It looks like she has a pretty big interest in the space program. We need more kids like her.

Oh, she definitely has a big interest...she would not even open the box until she had her suit and a patch on (she chose Apollo 8 because she liked that stamp the most)!

Garry is a very generous collector. I've dealt with him in the past, a good guy!

Man, that photo of her is an absolute heart-melter. If you were closer I'd be recruiting her for my school science club! :^)

Garry, you ol' sweety, you!

Dr. Jeff, do you realize you may have a future Moon or, dare I say, Mars walker on your hands?!

I have to say another public thanks.

We received another box of space books and some other stuff. Some patches, stickers, photos, and a postcard.

My daughter pulled out the postcard with the space shuttle and she said "This is either STS-1 or STS-2." (She had not even looked at the back yet.)

I said "How do you know that?"

She said "Because it has a white tank!" She's only 6 1/2!

Thanks, collectSPACE members!

Thank you, Dr. Jeff and others, for your kind words. Space is also meant to be fun and interesting for our younger set. I enjoyed meeting your family both times and again in the future.

Your daughter's smile puts a smile on all of our faces. You can be proud parents.

Garry
