My old website will no longer be available as from Sunday 15th February due to the host ceasing its hosting services. I have taken this situation as an impetus to create a new website which is thankfully advert-free. Much of the content from the old site has been carried over but is in a highly revised state. The layout I hope will prove to be more enjoyable and user-friendly than the old website. The site is primarily about the pilots and programs flown at Edwards AFB and this section is by all means "complete". There are pages about Fred Ascani, Bob Cardenas, Chuck Yeager (numerous Yeager related pages), Pancho Barnes, Jackie Cochran and an autograph section. Currently I have around 50% of the test pilot bio's completed and also have the Apollo page up and running but other pages will be added during the coming week. Thank you in advance for stopping by. Regards, Derek PS. I have linked to some collectors sites on the autographs main page. |

Awesome job Derek. I can only imagine the hard work you put into that site. The workings of your pages show what to me appears to be an advanced skill level in web design. You have achieved what I dream of doing or completing some day.------------------ Kind Regards Douglas Henry Enjoy yourself and have fun.... it is only a hobby! http://home.earthlink.net/~aztecdoug/ |

Derek - You transformed what was a great site into an even greater site. It's nice to see a collector run a website that is about more than just displaying their collection. Instead you take the time to tell the history of these great pilots and help us learn more about their accomplishments. This website serves as a great reference site for those interested in the golden age of test flight research. |

Thanks for the kind words guys... Its greatly appreciated!I just finished the test pilot bio/autographs section.... or so I thought! I'm a bit annoyed at myself though as I've forgotten to do bio's on Neil Armstrong, Bud Evans, Jim Eastham, Stan Holtoner, Bill Craigie & George Cooper (and others also!) so I might need to put them onto a seperate page argghhh!!! I'm confident however of having it all done and dusted for the weekend. |
