Clever name.

What does one do with a fiberglass astronaut statue in Kennedy Township, PA? Sit him outside the Lincoln-Erickson Mall?

I just hope they don't start taking him around the country and photographing him like a garden gnome.

My guess is it is probably some college student prank, probably a fraternity initiation as it sounds like they carefully planned it and took it off the foundation properly as opposed to doing something stupid like driving a truck into it to break the feet off and taking the rest for a spin in the back.

Hopefully it will be located and in reasonably good shape as I know I wouldn't want anybody screwing with something I created.

Well he has been on duty at the gates for many years. All work and no play as they say. Maybe he is off on vacation or to book himself one of those flights and make himself a space tourist after seeing Buzz Light year do it earlier in the year.
