While reading the Sunday paper this morning, I came across an article about a new caffeinated beer, MoonShot.

Apparently brewed in either Massachusetts or New York state by the New Century Brewing Company (a micro brew?), it is available in the Atlanta area and in Massachusetts.

Remember Apollo beer from the past?

Now if Captain Morgan could just come up with a "space rum" for me...

Yep, remember that earlier Apollo (space crafted beer) and have a take home carry case with their label on it. Alas, no beer bottles though.

It was brewed by Big Bang Brewery in St Paul Minnesota. The handle wording went:

Like the Universe, you can almost taste the vast dimensions of Space. Apollo - space crafted ales.

And of course, there's a website --

As they point out on their site: "Our label pays homage to the glory days of airplane nose art. Our rocket girl salutes the intrepid beer drinker who boldly goes where no beer has gone before..."

Oh, boy -- give me a glass of what she's drinking!

All times are CT (US)
