Col. Robert Morgan, commander of the famed B-17 bomber Memphis Belle, died on Saturday.

I have always believed that the B-17 was the best non-jet aircraft to ever fly.

My good friend Al Hallonquist got my Memphis Belle B-17 model signed by Robert Morgan at an air show in Florida late last year. He also got Paul Tibbets on my Enola Gay model at the same show. Both were free.
Thanks again Al!

Amen. Those things brought many a crew back when they were all shot to sh*t and missing pieces! :-)
