I'm new to this forum, but hope to be a regular visitor. I am completing a documentary called "Saving Hubble" about the people's fight to keep the telescope alive in 2004 while it faced an untimely demise. It is about how Hubble came to be a cultural icon and one of the crown jewels of the space program.
