Hello space fans? I'm wondering if anyone knows how one can obtain any network spaceflight coverage from Apollos 8 and 11 with Walter Cronkite of CBS? I have the NBC actual coverage of David's Brinkley's commentary from the Cape on the Apollo 11 launch. Any traders out there? Please let me know. Thanks. |

Herman, Have you seen the CBS video, "MAN ON THE MOON with Walter Cronkite"? (Copyright 1989 CBS Inc) Running time 58 minutes, most of it original CBS coverage of Apollo 11, including the launch, the landing and the EVA. It's a wonderful video, even for someone like myself who watched it all on BBC Television. (Sadly, the BBC's own video tapes of Apollo 11 were accidentally wiped a few years later). |

BLACKARROW: Thanks for your reply, I will contact CBS Video this week to buy this tape. Indeed, Walter Cronkite did a fantastic job in his coverage of the space flights in his career. Too bad that the BBC tapes are wiped away, I was thinking of purchasing that broadcast as well. Thanks again. Herman | |
