FYI. I just read an article about this company called autographedtoyou. Their website is below: http://autographedtoyou.com/ While they mostly have "b" list actors and celebrities, they claim to have about 1,500 now, and are negotiating to pick up another 500 "bigger names" soon.
The concept ensures an authentic signature, and it must include a personalization. The fee (between $15 and $20 bucks an autograph) includes the photo/autograph/personalization, and is split three ways: 1/3 to the company, 1/3 to the celebrity, and 1/3 to a charity.
Very interesting concept -- although I am not trying to endorse it or plug it here. I just think it is an amazing approach that is very nice and a win/win for all around. (Though there are damned few on their list right now I'd want).
The article said, however, they are close to turning a profit and hope that with their new batch of "stars", they'd move forward.
I just hope that new "batch" doesn't run up the price on those. Anyway -- a neat concept. Any thoughts?
