I am thinking of taking my family to Titusville next summer for space camp with my son. Does anyone recommend a hotel/motel that my wife and other son can stay? Are there any other sites to see besides the Cape? Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance Adam |

Adam,Besides KSC, there is also the Astronaut Hall of Fame, as well as the Space Walk of Fame here in Titusville. If you would like to send me an email with your home address, I can send you some literature from these attractions as well as information for some other points of interest that you and your family might enjoy. Adam:David who previously answered you lives in the area and is well versed. Im sure he will do an excellent job of assisting you. Don't forget you are only about 30-40 minutes from Disney, Universal, Sea World and all the other "non -reality" of that area. <G> Also, this website will give you and idea of local accomodations, but there are MANY more: www.funtastik.com/Florida/travel/Titusville/TitusvilleHotels.html Good luck!

I think, spacecowboy, when you say, for sites to see, "the cape" you mean the Kennedy Space Center? When I say "The Cape" I mean: The KSC (2-3 days worth) The Astronaut Hall of Fame The Air Force Space and Missile Museum (can be combined with KSC) The Space Walk of Fame in Titusville Merrit Is. National wildlife Refuge And the Planetarium in Cocoa (sorry forget the name!). Though I have not seen all of those, I will next year. Thats enough for 5 days overall. Also note that Merrit is., as well as the KSC *tours* are closed on shuttle launch days. Im not sure about expendable vehicle launch days. Hope this helps!! If I can assist with any more info, just let me know. ------------------ ______ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ -Ben "'Time was invented to keep everything from happening at the same time. Try this site: www.space-coast.com I've requested their brochures before. They send a nice handy guide to the area and it's free. Jeff |
