I am working on my online collection. In the "autographed books" section I am puttin a scan of the autograph as well as pictures of the covers I am getting off the internet as to not have to scan them. I cannot find it anywhere and was wondering if anyone who has the book would give me the ISBN number for the book. My copy, signed by Glenn and Schirra, does not have a dust jacket, which is where the isbn is usually found.

Also, when I scan NASA lithos they always look weird. I scanned one on a piece of glass out of a frame and it turned out a little better. I was wondering if there was some trick to making them look better when you scan them. Thanks for any help you guys could provide. When I am through I will post the URL so you can take a look if you are interested. Thanks again.

I don't think they had ISBN numbers when We 7 was published. It did have a Library of Congress card catalog number: 62-19074. Also, be aware that there were two book clubs editions, or one book club and one abbridged edition. You might want to identify which yours is. If you have a copy or "Relics", you can figure that out based on the covers or by the page numbers.

Lithographs are made up of tiny four-color dot patterns. They do not scan well and produce "moire" patterns. This may be the problem u are having. That is why photographs are generally used in the publishing business to scan from. Much higher resolution.

Good luck with your online project.
