I am an inner city school teacher who has had 'my kids' BLESSED by personally autographed messages from most of the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Skylab astros. When one new boy saw the collection that lines a 20 foot wall, he said, "Wow, can I talk with one of them too?" We had never spoken with any and after a few calls, he and a few others spoke with Shuttle astros Mike Mullane and Pinky Nelson which was a great thrill! The transcripts of the interviews are on our wall-we even have one arranged with Tony England.

Do you think the 'elder' astronauts would consider a few kids talking to them on the phone about space or their life experiences? By no means am I asking for contacts (I'll probably ask for them later); I just want to know if this can work!
