Hi gang, Does any one know if you will be allowed a few minutes to have your photograph taken with all the guys at the show. I think that if this happens it will be great, but what about the crowds and the wait would the guys still have the patience to have them taken with the fans. |

At last year's show, I got my picture taken with every astronaut I met. I assume the same will be possible this year. As long as you're courteous and move along somewhat swiftly, I don't think it'll be a problem to get your picture taken with them. Everyone is there for the same reason and the astronauts know this. They were all very friendly and willing to shake hands and take photos with me at last year's event, and I can't wait for more of the same this year! |

I am a photographer by trade and have all the gear needed to be the "Official" Collectspace photographer..... The only thing I dont have is the cash to get over there. Anybody got a spare $1500 dollars...?!?!? Or maybe a particularly large carry on suit case. Be warned though, I am 6ft 5ins tall.Regards, Rick. |

1500 US Dollars for a flight ticket from the UK to the US ?? Guess I could inform you about one for about 800 Dollars from Amsterdam. (though I am not too well informed about the present air fares over to the US)Isn't the UK terribly expensive at all ? At least the southern part ? I just returned from London/Farnborough, and almost fainted looking at the prices they charge for everything. Week day ONE WAY ticket on the London tube from King's Cross (where my hostel was nearby) to Waterloo Stn: 2 pounds ! Train ticket from Waterloo Stn to Farnborough and back: 10,20 pounds. (for a 40 minute ride). Ouch !!!!! And I paid a mere 120 Euro for my flight !!!! from Rotterdam to Stansted and back. (2 pounds is 3 Euro.) But after all - please don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my stay and I would come back any time. All the best, Kirsten PS: Where in the UK do you live ? Dear Kirsten,The air fare on a scduled return flight from the UK works out at $750, and not $1500. I looked on the web at American Airlines they seem to be the best value from the UK. he flight is from Heathrow to Lax, and is direct and the duration just under 11 hours i will have to buy a new space paperback to read, will we see you in La, Regards Paul |
