Michael Collins also turned down a chance to command Apollo 17 and walk. Did any other astronauts turn down the opportunity to train and walk on the moon?

If he had a dedication to continue with the program, he would probaby demonstrate a different attitude during AS-204/205 (and, as a consequence, on Apollo-7, too). This could possibly get him another mission - per rotation he could probably be on Apollo-13 or so.
