I believe SL4-143-4720 is the last photo of Skylab taken in orbit.
The latest high-res image I could find is photo SL4-143-4717, which is three frames earlier. So the last photo might be very similar.

We have seen many remarkably high-quality images of ISS taken through ground-based telescopes. Are there any similar-quality ground-based images of Skylab? I realise this was nearly 50 years ago, but there must surely have some telescopes capable of capturing reasonable images of Skylab.

There wasn't the ability to disseminate the orbital parameters with a wide audience where amateur astronomers could photo it. Sighting notices are not enough, the small view of telescopes requires precision pointing and knowledge of the flight path.

In addition, many of the ground based photos you see of the station are actually a "stack" of images which have been digitally processed and sharpened. These techniques were certainly not widely available (if they existed at all) back in the mid 70s.
