I’ve just been listening to a hydrogen podcast and the person being interviewed said that the infrastructure for producing large scale liquid hydrogen has been in the U.S. ever since the need for it to fuel the Saturn V rockets. He went on to say that 4 tonne transport trucks were used.
Can anyone shed any light on;
How large scale hydrogen was produced for Apollo and where?
How it was transported?

Louisiana, by rail and truck. Like any other cryogen in insulated tanks. 13,000 gallon tankers.
The food industry uses more than the space industry.
