I was wondering if that camera was on the VAB? Does anyone know for certain? Also does anyone know if there are any other public domain Apollo/Saturn V launch videos that were shot from the VAB? I think that launch video from that location captures both the enormous power and immensity of the Saturn V like no other.
Ben Member Posts: 1896 From: Cape Canaveral, FL Registered: May 2000	posted 01-17-2013 01:57 PM Yes, that is the VAB roof. And there are a few shot from there. The Apollo 13 launch footage has a VAB view at 1:18 in this video.
Paul78zephyr Member Posts: 678 From: Hudson, MA Registered: Jul 2005	posted 01-17-2013 03:33 PM Ben, thank you. I wish there were others like the one from 16 which actually pans with the vehicle. Also the video on 16 seems to be less zoomed in which I think gives it a greater sense of immensity.
