I've got to believe there's a transcript out there of the Apollo 11 air-to-ground communications in the places where Luna 15 is discussed.I've found audio clips of the communications, but does anyone happen to know of an actual transcript? Thank you very much! Jay Gallentine |

The Apollo Lunar Surface Journal has two transcripts, both of which contain several references to Luna 15. |

Phew! At first I thought this was a conspiracy-theory thread about communications *between* Apollo 11 and Luna 15. Glad to see it's not! |

Hello Proponent,No conspiracies here - just beginning the research for a second book on unmanned space exploration, and I'm planning to kick it off with the saga of Luna 15 racing Apollo 11 for the first lunar sample. We all know how it ended, but the story in-between should prove to be fascinating! Best Regards, Jay Gallentine |

Jay-May I suggest writing about the whole Zond/Soyuz - Apollo race to the moon. I'm sure there are many inside stories to be put to paper yet. -Lou |

I always wondered in the Apollo 11 "UFO" was the Soviet craft. |

Nah, it was a SLA panel. They discussed whether it might be the S-IVB, but they didn't consider the panels at the time. |

I've located the relevant sections of the Apollo 11 air-to-ground transcript and added them to my research notes. Thanks for the input, everyone.Jay Gallentine |
