A fellow has been making available on eBay some pieces of the Apollo Launch Control consoles that were scrapped when the center was taken apart in the 1970s. Does anyone know of a resource that describes how the Apollo Launch Control center was laid out, i.e., where each position and console was around the room? |

There are some good photos here: http://www.apolloexplorer.co.uk/ There is also the LCC display at KSC. I have some images of it if you need any. This is the basic layout of a firing room: http://history.nasa.gov/computers/p217.htm which comes from here: http://history.nasa.gov/computers/Ch7-2.html This may also be of some help (I haven't looked at it because it's too big for me to download - apologies if it doesn't help): Apollo Training Sequential Events Control.pdf [This message has been edited by collectSPACE Admin (edited March 15, 2006).] |

Thank you SO MUCH! Those are great resources. I had poked around on the web for quite a while but hadn't come across the last two links. They were most helpful. I really appreciate your response! Jonathan |
