I don't know if people are familiar with a Grumman pamphlet containing acetate images of different layers of the lunar module ?I have scanned and cleaned up the images of the front of the LM and made them into an a virtual version of the pamphlet. I hope to do the rear side of the acetates in the near future. http://adboo.com/pintro/grumman.htm May take a while to load ! Enjoy.......Adam |

Wow! That is amazing seeing the interior of the LM. I noticed that one of these Grumman acetate folders was a recent space auction - Swann I think. When Grumman produced this folder after the Apollo missions we obtained 500 of them and distributed them free to members of the Int'l Assn. of Space Philatelists (IASP). I remember it very well. I located my copy last year and donated it to the Space Unit for their auctions. That is a good collectors' item. [] |

The link above is a version of the animation in the forthcoming Apogee LM book, I hope they do the backside of the LM as well, I never got round to finishing it. (Too easily distracted !) Adam |

Scott, the book(s) to which Adam referred is the new Apogee reprint of the Apollo Spacecraft News Reference, as mentioned on the front page of cS today. |

Scott, the new books are reprints of original News References. The LM one was made by Grumman and the CSM one by North American Rockwell, both in association with NASA. The originals are beautiful items with fully printed ring binders and tabbed sections within. I have a CSM one which I made the online version from, I have tried to be as faithful as possible to the original. Except that my original is signed by Schirra, Cunningham, Scott, Schweickart, Stafford, Cernan, Aldrin, Gordon, Bean, Mitchell, Worden, Duke, Weitz, Lousma and Gibson. The astro's all seemed to enjoy looking at it and Gordon took great delight in telling me about his own one and how he wished he still had it !. I never managed to get a LM one as the prices went silly after I got the CSM one. Adam |
