If my memory is correct, there's an anecdote about LBJ, when President, scolding some constituency (civil rights, maybe?), that he was indeed with them, but that he needed them to go out and LOUDLY DEMAND that he do what they wanted him to do.

anyone remember?

I believe that the dead of John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a incalculable, catastrophic tragedy for the United States and entire free world.Kennedy was a great President. Was a MODERATE,intelligent chief of executive,a implacable enemy of communism, and was also the best supporter for space programs.Lyndon Johnson perhaps had too much expensive social programs (the great society),and he went too much ahead in Vietnam in 1965 (a terrible, terrible error),but he was a good President. After JFK,LBJ was the NASA best friend in Washington.Richard Nixon instead.....

All times are CT (US)
