I read that in the sixties there were astronauts who were heavy smokers ron Evans being one of them. Wasn t NASA concern t that a smoking astronaut would get problems when on a flight lasting two weeks in Evans case. I read in Cernan s book that Evans smoked his last one right before the flight. And how is nasa on smoking astro s these days ?

Looking at video clips of mission control, I think NASA was probably more worried if someone was NOT a smoker in those days.
