Now that's a camera that has seen a lot of history!

P.S. If I'm reading this story correctly it would seem that since 1961 the the goverment has been paying this guy to do nothing but follow space workers around while taking their pictures. Talk about having a easy job!

I’ve been thinking about this story.

The photographer broke the camera during a training mission to Mexico with the crew of Apollo 14. Thereafter he jury rigged a fix with rubber bands.

Normally I’d say that he should have had the camera professionally repaired and the job done right. However it seems that the rubber band fix is what made his camera famous and got it the ride on the shuttle.

If it was up to you would you have had the camera properly repaired or not?
