Hello all, I am new to this distinguished group. I am seeking some advice and opinions regarding one of my more treasured possessions.

I was gifted this helmet by Charles Hansen, who had a direct connection to Apollo 16 astronaut Ken Mattingly. You can read the attached image of the provenance Charles Hanson provided me on how he came to possess this helmet.

I have been collecting for over 40 years now and think it may be time to start parting with some of my possessions. Can anybody offer some advice on the potential value of this helmet and where would be the best place to list this item for auction?

I sincerely appreciate any constructive responses and I thank you all for your consideration.
