Saw these two "original control unit covers" listed for sale by Silverstone Auctions, but despite the lack of information, does this look like a genuine piece of mission control hardware from the Apollo era?

Just curious if anyone has any thoughts as it all seems quite presumptive in the auction lot description.

I would expect any panels from Houston MCC to have Ford Aerospace labeling.

The closest hint we have here is "USG Property/LDSC" which may be a reference to US Government Property. But that's no reason to jump to MCC and/or Apollo 11.

Yes that was my thoughts. Couldn’t see any reason to assume any conclusion.

The only apparent "reason" is to net unsuspecting or gullible bidders; there is a quite a bit of this nonsense taking place in the auction market these days (the old "throw it on the wall and see what sticks strategy").

All times are CT (US)
