Anyone here able to identify the mission on which a frangible nut was used?

Unless you have the full scrap paperwork to go along with that nut half, then no.

The resources needed to look up shuttle program hardware by their serial numbers or other identifying marks were boxed up and archived at the end of the program, and at present, are largely inaccessible.
