I'm looking for a second opinion on this Edgar Mitchell signed dollar bill on eBay. I'm not sure I like it, but maybe he signed these things in a hurry, It looks rubbish to me but I know nothing of Mitchell's signature. Thoughts? |

I'm no signature expert but I have several items signed by Ed Mitchell and they do not resemble the signature on this bill at all. Good luck with your search. |

I can certainly see how you and Gary would feel about this atypical Mitchell signature, however, it looks to be in my limited opinion a rushed-up signature, perhaps during a personal encounter with the moonwalker. I've got a couple of Mitchell signatures that had been acquired in such a way, very similar to this unusual pattern. What I do like about it is how his first name "Ed" was formed, but unfortunately, the rest of the signature went haywire from that point on. But I do believe that it may be genuine. |

Got to ask yourself why anyone would take a Series 1995 dollar bill and forge it with Ed Mitchell's signature. Don't think his signature was that much in demand or that expensive to obtain directly from him in that time frame.Even if it was done when this bill was new, highly unlikely this is forged. | |
