This STS-1 flown flag doesn't seem right in many respects.
This was purchased in a large lot of space memorabilia from a man that worked at Kennedy Space for years.

No, it's not, as the STS-1 certificate by Young/Crippen is only a copy that had been
gifted to all the KSC employees involved with the shuttle program in 1981.

As to the large U.S. flag, I am 99.9% certain, based on many factors that it's not genuine as being aboard shuttle Columbia on her maiden space voyage.
