Has anyone ever seen an Apollo-era Portable life support system (PLSS) sell at auction? Are there any out there in private hands?
I am thinking of the ones used in training. Any information would be appreciated.

As far as I know, there hasn't been a complete PLSS for sale. But there is a section on PLSS flown components here.

I have a training used PLSS cover that was originally part of the collection of the Space Walk Hall of Fame which I acquired about ten years ago from Aurora Auctions.

Also, Chuck, there have been a number of flown/used PLSS backpack straps, I think, at least from 3-4 moonwalkers that have come to auction along with some private sales of them. I had a couple of them — for many years in my own collections — that had been used on the lunar surface.
