This is on eBay, item no. 231496830111. Would this be a one of a kind medallion intended for astronaut Joe Allen only? If so I'm curious to see it for sale on eBay and for what seems at least a low starting price. Any insights appreciated. Thanks. |

I've been in touch with both the seller and the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation about this auction. The seller obtained the medal, as well as a few other items, from the Allen family. That said, the ASF makes it a practice to hold onto the astronauts' official medals between induction ceremonies, so they are checking on it as well. (There have been a few sales of Hall of Fame medallions in the past, but they seem to have been of an earlier style, presented to the Mercury and Gemini inductees.) |

Robert, I did not see this before but I won the auction in question. Is there some issue with ownership or something? |

I don't believe so, but you might check with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation for their final word. | |
