Out of the dozen times I have used them I've never received anything but a "Likely Not Genuine" on any Space items submitted to this service. The latest was today on an early 60 Armstrong cut. I'm curious of others peoples experiences with this service. Not implying bad or good. Maybe I just have a bad choice of items.

Thanks in advance.

I have seen some shockers come from them (you only need to read a few posts to notice the trend). I would not consider their opinion worth paying for. If you want authentication, post it here. Plenty of experts who are always happy to offer their opinion.

Considering how little time and effort they appear to put into some items they've written COAs for (see the recent thread where they authenticated a Buzz Aldrin autopen as being a genuine autograph), I'd hate to guess at how little time and effort they put into their "quick opinions."

In my opinion, I agree with "rgarner" and say it's not worth your money to use their services for space autographs.

They are terrible for space related autographs. I would not rely on them for anything as far as buying. If anyone advertises they have a PSA letter, I discount it immediately.

Also if you are going to sell something on eBay and someone gets a quick opinion which says not genuine on your item, they report it to eBay and eBay can/will pull the item. even if PSA is dead wrong.

As Fred has pointed out, PSA is not only not of any benefit to the hobby (of space autograph collecting), they are a downright detriment. (In my opinion, you're likelier to get better accuracy on whether any given space autograph is authentic or not by simply flipping a coin).

I have heard nothing but bad things about their space autograph "service" or rather "non-service" ...makes me wondering nobody has sued them so far.

All times are CT (US)
