The checklist you have is referenced as a "Flight Checkout Inspection and Servicing" checklist in Bell Aerosystems' Report No. 7260-954002 "Lunar Landing Training Vehicle Service and Maintenance Manual" (MSC Houston, TX).I'd say your checklist was used by the checkout teams, not the actual pilots and therefore its value is related to its scarcity, not its relationship to any astronaut. The same report mentioned before lists other 6 checklists in the same category (out of a total 14 checklists related to the LLTV), so your checklist covers only a fraction of the documents related to the LLTV operations. Don't get me wrong, I think the checklist is a valuable piece of history, but I am not sure it will bring a lot of money. Are there any handwritten notes or signatures on it? Have you checked with more knowledgeable people than me (e.g. auction house experts)? Just my humble opinion. Hope it helps. |

Thanks for the info. Very helpful.Only two notes on the cover page: - Under Copy No. is a blue stamp "0020"
- In red is the name "Gronmeyer"
It is interesting to note the LLTV-1 December 8, 1968 crash (piloted by Joe Algranti). Less need for the checklist after that. | |
