eBay 390590779833Have purchased from this seller before, but this looks fake. The printing on the back is off-center and words are cut wrong in the paragraph (in particular, "U.S." is split across two lines). Anyone have any thoughts? |

Other than the mis-alignment, looks to me like all other Temporary badges I've seen (including one from A13 in front of me where the 'S.' is also wrapped around). I doubt this would be a badge type to gain the attention of forgers in any case, but it appears OK to me. |

I concur. Got a few myself that are not centered properly or cut as they should be. |

Thanks, guys!It just didn't look right to me. Especially since the same badge with serial number 1700 is also listed but it's a different color. But it IS centered. Maybe it's for a different purpose? (VIP, different parking area, etc.?) Anyway, thanks and I'll keep my eye on this one. |

I am no expert on the badges and credentials, but from my 25 years of experience in collecting medals and awards, I am very interested to hear your opinion on the following:At the moment, there are 5 "temporary mission decal" for Apollo 11 on sale (at eBay) by the same seller (with 100% rating). The numbers on them are: 2372, 2373, 2374, 2375, 2376. Also, regarding the historic value of Apollo 11, I find it strange that the price is low. What's your take? Editor's note: Threads merged. |

Supply and demand. Those white temporary mission decal badges are much more commonly found than other types of badges from the era (e.g. Permanent Firing Room badges, named Saturn Operations badges, named Apollo Area Permits, early unmanned Apollo test flight badges, etc.). Reference the high sequence numbers stamped on these badges. Temporary mission decal badges for each mission were issued in the thousands and many have survived over the years. With that said, the more actively collected missions (Apollo 8, 11, 13) often command a slight premium. Typical values range anywhere from $20 to $50 or so. Of course, badges that belonged to an astronaut or noted personality within the Apollo program are a whole new ballgame. |

I saw those too. Actually, the price is high. These usually sell for about $35 or so. They are from the same seller and it's a known seller as well. I personally would have no issues buying from them. |
