Keep away from these signed covers,,they are all fakes!! This dealer has some scam going on!!Ebay #1387338126..Von Braun cover

Am i right and all his currently offered "autographs" are forgeries ? I'm sure the Albert Einstein is fake, too - you can see with most his "drawings" that they are done by the same person - all are very shaky.Florian |

Just wanted to point out that Dr. Albert EINSTEIN lived for a while in Belgium, more precisely about 6 months in 1933 at a Belgian coastal town " De Haan aan zee " ( Weathercock at Sea ) ...

I have been seeing this username regularly associated with fakes. Has anyone tried to throw him under the bus? It would seem one questionable auto could be a mistake, but this many.....?Tom |

Same handwriting and at times same pen. Many of them are not very good either and as someone else once said on this site - they are so shaky they must have been signed during re-entry.Best wishes Rob Wood |

I wouldn't call 49 negative feedbacks exactly few! Sellers on EBay that get into the thousands of transactions always pick up a couple of negative feedbacks on the way, from misunderstandings, bad buyers etc, but 49 negatives is the highest I think I have ever seen. That single point is all you would need to know to NOT bid on that person's wares, the authenticity of his items is somewhat immaterial compared to the negative feedback level.
Remember the safe EBay bidding rules:-
1. NEVER bid on an item which has the bidders identities protected UNLESS you personally know the seller and know they are doing this for a very specific and sensible reason.
2. NEVER bid on an item where the seller has any negative feedbacks that are disproportionate to their total number of feedbacks, and I would suggest that 1 negative feedback in 100 is probably too high, but in that instance go read the feedback, and see if there was a genuine reason for receiving it or whether the buyer was a nut.
3. ALWAYS be wary of sellers associated with sports of any kind. I rarely see items on sale from those type of vendors that I would recommend. Whether they are all just lousy at buying authentic material or whether there is another reason for this, I do not know.
4. NEVER buy anything that is of a pictorial nature that does not show a good scan of the item.
5. NEVER bid on anything that you have the slightest doubt about or the credentials of the seller.
6. If you are thinking of bidding on a high dollar value item email the seller and engage in an email chat with them. You will very quickly get to know if they are the sort of person you would wish to do business with. You will occassionally have to pass up on items that you would like to acquire if you follow these rules, but better safe than sorry. Ive been using Ebay for a few years, mainly as a buyer but occassionally as a seller and I have only been stung once on a "relatively" inexpensive designer golf shirt, and the seller really wasn't aware that it was a cheap copy, so I just let the matter ride and swallowed my loss. Ebay can be great, it can be a nightmare. The responsibility is with the buyer to do their homework. Anytime you log onto EBay think of it as having just wandered into a back street used car lot, and adopt an appropriatte defensive mechanism! Joe |

I aggree with you that 49 negatives is quite high and suspicious. I´ve got 2 (in a total of 936 positives) and I was quite furious getting them because it really depended on misunderstandings and not on my honesty. For a short moment when I saw the McAuliffe offer I thought "Wow" , you will get this , what a nice starting prize! But when I saw the scan, I doubted, and even my wife, who´s not so trained in space items,said: "That does not look like the real thing!" I think, this guy is quite clever, he sells a bunch of good times and is mixing some frauds in them, and if anyone complains he will always make a hint to his "big crowd" of pleasant customers. looking at the developement of his feedbacks he seems to play the good guy for a while , than risking some forgeries, and once again.
