I won these on ebay earlier today and would love to get some feedback on them: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108148311 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108148851 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108210235 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108210495 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108210784 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108211384 The seller also had the Gagarin and Titov ones. I think really should have bid higher for them. |

Hi, thats all official russian "KNIGA" covers - very nice items. The rarest should be Soyuz 4 + 5: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108335691 Cheers, Steffen |

I would say you got excellent items, and for a very fair price too. The Soyuz 4/5 item is really cheap. ------------------ Jürgen P Esders Berlin, Germany http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Astroaddies |

Well done indeed! Whilst not a Kniga cover, I picked up the Soyuz 4/5 cover here a few months ago on eBay for $31.Regards, Derek |

Daveblog you did do well on those! Good price on all. And Tereskova charges at least $30 for an auto today, and you came in under that.Steffen - I agree that the Soyuz 4/5 is one of the rarer Kniga covers. However, the Voskhod 1 and Soyuz 7 seem to be the rarest since crewmembers on each died on flights shortly thereafter. This may not have limited the number of covers signed and issued, but has certainly driven up the demand for those covers. Since Derek showed us some eye candy (cool cover Derek!), below is a little gratuitous coverage as well (Vostok 1 and Soyuz 7 Kniga Covers, I don't have a Voskhod 1): |

Nice covers, gentemen!Could someone give any thoughts on this. It was bought by friend on eBay few months ago for very moderate price. It looks authentic to me but I am not expert in cosmonaut signatures and Russian covers and stamps. Will ask if I could get better scan. |

I have a hard time with cosmonaut sigs. That is why I stick to Kniga covers - they are the safest bet for authentic autos. So, I can't pass judgement on your cover. Hopefully some of the cosmonaut signature gurus will stop in and help you out... |

karlito- As a collector of cosmonaut signatures, the Titov signature looks good to me similiar to ones I have received. I have not seen enough Gagarin signatures to render an opinion. Click on the following link to see my cosmonaut autographs collection: http://photos.yahoo.com/spacecovers2003 and click on cosmonaut autographs. Let me know what you think. ------------------ John Macco Vice President Space Unit Shady Side, Md. |
