For sale. If you would like to purchase more than one item, let me know before you send payment and I will use the USPS calculator to get you a lower combined postage. - Vintage 1963 3.5-inch metal button commemorating the final flight in the Mercury program by Gordon Cooper on 5/15/63. The button is in excellent condition. The back is shiney with only a few spots of age discoloration.
Price is $20 and $4.95 postage in the U.S. Foreign postage (untracked) is $12.25. PayPal only. - Official Vandenberg 30th Space Wing patch for the National Reconnaisance Office L-42 space mission. This patch was produced for internal USAF use and varies in design from the more commonly available NROL-42 team patches. The patch is in new, unused condition and has male and female Velcro pads for flight suit attachment.
Patch design references The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where "42" is the "ultimate answer to the question of life, the universe and everything" and has a symbolic dolphin, the second most intelligent species on Earth (only surpassed by mice). NROL-42 was launched from Vandenberg on an Atlas V rocket on 9/24/17. Price is $25 and $6.95 postage in the U.S. Foreign postage (untracked) is $16.25. PayPal only. - Two vintage 1960s 3-D lenticular postcards — Saturn V VAB rollout model and ring space station model being approached by a Gemini-style spacecraft and EVA astronaut. Both are unused and in excellent condition. There is some natural curling of the plastic with age toward the edges, but this can be fixed with pressing or mounting under glass. Lenticular images are bright, clear and unmarked.
One unused 3-D plastic embossed postcard of artwork of an early International Space Station configuration. Postcard is in excellent condition — no marks or creasing. Four internal Rockwell Space Division postal covers for Downey July 20, 1979 (10th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing and home of both Columbia spacecraft), and STS-1 through STS-3 with postmarks on the launch dates. Covers are in excellent, but not pristine, condition (some minor handling wear). Each envelope comes with an information insert card. Price for the lot is $38 and $6.95 postage in the U.S. Foreign postage (untracked) is $17.50. PayPal only. - Official A-B Emblem ISS Expedition 43 patch with the original crew before Yury Lonchakov (lower left name on the patch) was replaced by Gennady Padalka. Only an estimated 50-100 of these patches were produced early in order to supply the crew during training and for the on-board flight suit manufacturer.
Lonchakov resigned unexpectedly from Roscosmos during Expedition 43 training to pursue a career with Gazprom, a Russian energy company. Lonchakov was scheduled to be a Flight Engineer on Expedition 43 and Commander of Expedition 44. Soyuz TMA-16M, the flight that Lonchakov would have commanded to the ISS for Expedition 43, also included Scott Kelly and Mikhail Korniyenko on the beginning of their 1-year space mission. (Note: I sold a few of these patches on eBay back in 2013 for $235 to $565 each. Selling this one for a friend at a good price.) Price is $175 and $7.95 tracked and insured postage in the U.S. Foreign postage (untracked) is $17.25. PayPal only.
