STS-68 and STS-103 frangible nuts mounted as bookends. Each are $3650.00 plus shipping. Heavy, well made real parts of a shuttle launch.

Pictures available.

Bryan, my frangible nut bookends from STS-82 came in yesterday afternoon. They are amazing.

The launch team at KSC did a fantastic job of creating the bookends. They placed photo-etched metal plaques on wood pieces to form the base of each half of the nut that held down STS-82 at launch. I always wanted even just one half of a frangible nut, but to get a complete one from a member of the crew that flew the mission is amazing.

Thanks to you and Steve.

I weighed one of the bookends and the total weight was 9.4 lbs. I would estimate around 15 lbs per nut. It is a big nut.
