For sale is a highly detailed electronic display model of the Japanese Hayabusa MUSES-C asteroid probe spacecraft. This model was made by Bandai Tamashii Nations toys in Japan (the same company that produced the Apollo 11 Saturn, Apollo 13 Saturn and Space Shuttle Endeavour display models). From the original Bandai website description: There's no small amount of national pride behind Bandai's decision to release this beautiful completed model of the "Hayabusa" MUSES-C probe that became the first man-made object to successfully land on an asteroid, then bring a physical sample back to Earth in June of 2010. Carefully crafted using photo etched detail parts for realism, this 1/24-scale model has several features, including movable solar panels, a red LED to simulate the craft's laser range-finder, a remote control to turn on and off the LEDs behind its ion engines to simulate four different thrust patterns, a removable asteroid particle sample canister, a stand that allows it be positioned in virtually any position, and four different "photo sheets" to decorate the top of the display base. The Bandai Space Shuttle and Saturn V models are impressive for their size, to be sure, but this Hayabusa model is sure to startle for its amazing attention to the finest details. First edition issue will come with extra limited 1/144 scale (same scale as OTONA NO CHOGOKIN Apollo 11/13 and Space Shuttle Endeavour) Hayabusa. This model is the first edition with the additional 1/144 scale spacecraft. It is new and unopened in a sealed box, with the original Bandai outer shipping box. I will place this shipping box into another cardboard box with plenty of padding for shipment to insure that it arrives in mint condition. Price for this new model is $185.00 plus postage ($14.95 in the U.S.; $44.95 First Class International mail outside the U.S.). Local pickup is free if you live in the Houston area. PayPal required.Questions welcome. Thanks and fly safe! |

Michael D., I received your inquiry about the model, however, your Outlook e-mail address doesn't seem to be able to receive a reply. Can you contact me from another address? Thanks. |
