Each of these Buzz Aldrin autographs comes with a lifetime guarantee of authenticity. Shipping will be $6 for Priority Mail.Autograph Quotation Signed. A 3"x5" card with a personalization, then "No dream is too high for those with their eyes in the sky." Comes with an archival-paper 5"x7" photo of him on the moon; you could matte out the personalization and frame them together. (Someone on eBay has a similar card for sale for $1,275. This isn't that one.) $250 Signed NASA lithos, or more accurately his signature on a nice bookplate sticker (made of thick paper, not just standard sticker material) with his name and the Apollo 11 emblem in gold, placed on NASA lithos. I bought three of these unused stickers years ago. (They were also signed by Wendell Minor, the illustrator of two of Aldrin's books. I cut off the Minor part, put them in three copies of a biography he wrote of scientist Rachel Carson, and donated them to nearby Rachel Carson Middle School.) The Aldrin part I put on NASA lithographs: Aldrin on the lunar surface facing the American flag or his WSS portrait. $125 each Hey, I just noticed that someone has one of these stickers on eBay for $9,165! Buy from me and save over $9,000! Signed cover of an Aldrin Planetarium invitation, showing him on the lunar surface. $125 (Perhaps keep in mind that even if you ignore the fact that his signing fee is $600, a check of eBay's recent sales will show that uninscribed photos signed by him sell for $300-$450.) |

I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone affix a signed bookplate to a litho before. That's definitely a "unique" approach. However, in fairness, I think these fall well sort of being signed lithos. You might have been better off by just selling the signed stickers as they were. That way the buyer would have had more freedom to affix them to the item of their own choosing. The fact they have also been altered (trimming them to remove the second signature) might also be a detraction in some collectors' eyes. |
