After 40 years of collecting, it's time to sell. I have thousands of items that I will try to put up in groupings, like cached covers, flown medallions (Fliteline and Robbins), signed models, art prints, 8x10 signed photos. I will only list items for one week, and then I will move to the next grouping.

As you know, eBay doesn't like collectors to talk off line, because it cuts into their business model. With that said, you can contact me about items at bforr@aol.com. What that means is an immediate 10% reduction in price. There is no free lunch and this is not a fire sale... if items don't sell, I'll wait for another, better, economic time.

Have fun, and enjoy. Looking forward to hearing from you. — Bruce Forrest

Thank you. (I figured it out seconds after posting my message.)

Some great items there.

WOW! I have gotten a huge response. Thanks!

I do need to clarify one thing. I can ONLY ship to addresses in the U.S. for free shipping. It wouldn't make sense to sell a $29 item, and then for me to have to pay $45 in FedEx charges.

I will sell anywhere in the world. The buyer is responsible for the shipping and addional PayPal fees... Thanks again.

I just listed a few more things on ebay, until they started charging me insertion fees. Evidently, their maximum of 750 items, or the dollar amount aren't the only restrictions. Only 150 'free' insertions... so I'm done for the month.

Just to clarify (I sent you an email as well about Robbins) that the Apollo 1 gold plated medallion that is listed for $1499 on eBay can be purchased from you directly for $1350 (a 10% discount). If so then I will take it. If I am misunderstanding the post, then please clarify. Thanks.

Sure. Sorry I haven't responded sooner. Four items signed by Yeager: X-1, P-51, an unassembled X-1 and P-51; and an X-1 signed by Pete Everest. Let me know if you'd like photos.

You are correct. After payment is made, I will remove the listing from eBay, and get the medallion out ASAP.

I have found this site most productive. Thanks to those who have done their homework and checked it out.

eBay has 150 'free' insertions per month limit. I am already at my limit for the month, and most of my items are closing tomorrow.

Remember that there is an automatic 10% price reduction when you deal with me directly. I still have thousands of items to list on eBay, but it will be slightly slower because of eBay's restrictions. Contact me if you have any specific requests. Please don't ask me for a list. I don't have one, because I have too many items. 40 years of collecting will do that.

Thanks again for the interest over the past few weeks.

A friendly heads-up here: your eBay listings are in violation of their user agreement. You are not allowed to post your outside contact information on your auction listings, nor suggest that items can be purchased outside of eBay. They will remove your listings and perhaps suspend your account if they discover this activity.

Thanks for the heads up. In the future I'll just mention Facebook and collectSPACE. Most of my items are ending in 2 days, and the response I have gotten, well, out weighs eBay's punitive actions.

Many of my items are on Facebook, but no where near all of them. With eBay's restrictions to sellers' listings, they decrease their market share as I can sell elsewhere. I'm not going to live forever, and the collection needs to be sold. Thanks much.

I don't think they will even allow that, since it still suggests that buyers can contact you outside of eBay... with the presumption that they can arrange a private sale.

Just received the Apollo 1 gold medallion and I am extremely pleased. Thanks you ever so much. A great item and great service...

If you have some items on Facebook, I need to find you (what is your name on FB?) and please approve my request.

Fortunately, America, for the time being, is still free, and just because I use eBay for selling, doesn't mean they have to be the only means by which I sell my items. eBay is in competition with many auction sites, which is what I have told them, many times, in the past.

They also do not control collectSPACE, so I guess I can post my Facebook name (Bruce Forrest), and my eBay handle (cal10pilot) and my email address (bforr@aol.com), which you can get off this site.

Bruce Forrest is on Facebook, and I use the same picture as I use on eBay. Look forward to seeing you over there.

Enjoy that Apollo 1 Fliteline medallion.

Obviously, eBay has no control over what transactions you make privately or on other websites. But they do have control over your ability to use their website to sell (or advertise) your goods.

Besides, it has little to do with "freedom" (in the sense that you invoked it). Instead it's about the user agreement that you accepted when you signed up with eBay and listed items for sale on their website.

Most items will be closing in about a day. In the future, I will not need to advertise on eBay. I will do that on collectSPACE and Facebook. But eBay is where you'll find the items. Have a good look, because I have hit my eBay limit for the month. I'll put all new items up in January.

Just a thought...

You could create your own FaceBook group to market your items in a manner of your choosing.

Again, just a thought...
