I saw on a google search that someone had a 1:20 scale J-2 rocket engine, does anyone know anything about this?

Also a 1:20 scale V-2 rocket engine.

I, for one at least, own a 1:20th scale J-2 engine. It was assembled by Pascal using 3D printed parts. I got it to go along with my 1:20 Rocketdyne Saturn V F-1 engine that I finished a couple of months ago. I'll see if I can get pictures of both posted here. Check back.

I did the J-2 1/20 a few times now and V-2, but the V-2 was a 1/10.

I'm now busy with a long transport set.

Are they 3D printed? Or one shelf bought and the other 3D printed?

Ask by this designer by internal Shapeways mail.

Keep in mind, the design of the engine is not fully done. Some details I have added by myself, he still work on it. Price now is all parts in euros 408.56, maybe in dollars a little lower.

You must ask him on his Shapeways site, see contact designer, if he want give you the close order links. The model is still not 100% ready by design, does maybe not open for all buyers for sale.

Scott, you’re killing me, as he wipes the drool from his chin.

Pascal, the 1/20 J2 is impressive and a great companion piece for the Accurate F-1. How many F-1 kits have you assembled now, or have you lost count?

Hmm, Scott is did ask the designer of he want also the J-2 blew up to 1/10, it will come as he has time as also the H-2 and some other desingers design other engines.

But here now with busy number 25 to 29.

  • New Mexico version
  • museum corner version
  • F-1 and J-2 transport version
  • F-1 magnet bell split version
Number 30 will be experiment, all the parts separately plating (different materials) and only then assemble into each other.

All times are CT (US)
