On June 19th of this year I am sorry to say that space collectors around the world lost a fellow colleague. My very good friend of over 35 years Mike Levine suddenly passed away, leaving behind a loving son, a very large number of friends and extended family members.

I have also been lucky to be friends with Mike's son as well. This is one reason that I have been asked to help liquidate most of Mike's space and historical collection. Mike was always an honest, straight up man, and his collection was bought with knowledge, expertise, and authentication. I will be listing many unique space items from this estate, this will include flown items as well as rare autographs, I will do my best to describe these items and give details to each item.

Mike sold under the eBay name "Kleerwite", I will be selling under my eBay name "Ewaldsattic". You can be certain that I will be as honest and straight up as Mike was. However, I will admit that I am not the expert that Mike was. I will begin listing items on Sunday September 7th. Mike introduced me to collectSPACE and eBay a few years ago. I like to think that I had the best teacher in these areas.

I am in a difficult situation, because I am trying to sell items that were cherished my good friend. I want to respect his memory, yet I want to move forward so Mike's son can benefit from these items. Mike was also was an avid sports historian/collector and this is an area that his son shared an interest in as well. So, I have been asked to just concentrate on the space items.

It is not my intention to use this site to solicit, but I just wanted to make it known that Mike's estate is being partially liquidated. He had some very unique and expensive items, and because there is so much fraud and deceit in the industry I am concerned that buyers seeing my listing might be skeptical of the authenticity of these items. I know that Mike had built a reputation among other collectors so I wanted to give them a "heads up", and let them buy with the same confidence they did with Mike. I am including a statement on my eBay listings, which will state they came from his estate. Any other suggestions I would appreciate. It will be difficult to price many of these items so feel free to contact me, if you have suggestions or if I have not properly described an item. Please remember I do not have the knowledge that Mike had, but I want to be as honest as he was so I will always ask and appreciate the input from anybody that has knowledge of these items. Thank you for your time. — Bill Ewald

Bill, you have taken on a daunting task, but you will find many fair-minded individuals here who will be happy to work with you to achieve mutual satisfaction. Some of us will also realise that where you step today, our representatives will follow in years to come.

Good luck with your worthy effort!

Can I ask one thing of you at the outset: please make this opportunity available to overseas bidders. Judge us by our feedback scores, not our locations. Pre-payment by Paypal should remove any concerns.

Bill, may I ask what eBay name you will be listing under? I'd like to take a look. This sounds like a great way to help.

Speaking selfishly, is there any chance of you offering some of the items here before you post on eBay? It would give us diehard collectors first shot. Having bought and sold through this forum, I really appreciate the occasional bargain I've received from my fellow collectors here.
