SOLD, thank you.
Here is a Neil Armstrong signed "WSS" (White Space Suit portrait NASA-printed lithograph). The litho is absolutely pristine - I just turned it over and over in direct light, looking for any stain, scratch, or bend I should mention for accuracy; and couldn't find one.

Armstrong's autograph is large and clear, and signed with a black marker (as opposed to the infamous too-often-faded blue ones). I sent it to respected autograph expert (and cS member) Steve Zarelli a couple of months ago, and after examining it closely he issued a Letter of Authenticity (complete with a small scanned image of this litho) that will be included.

There are a couple of dozen examples of Armstrong signed WSSs of this quality selling for over $5,000 in the last several years. Here are a dozen from one auction house alone. A prominent space dealer sold an uninscribed Armstrong WSS litho for $7,995. One even sold at auction for $8,365

Keeping in mind, though, that if I put this one up at auction and if it reached such a price, I would end up with much less than than because of fees; and because my timing in selling this is not great because of the space auctions this very month; and in the interest of a quick sale... I am pricing this one at SOLD $4200. SOLD

You could pay in two monthly payments if you like. If you wouldn't mind paying by check, there is a $100 discount, since PayPal fees would be more than that anyway. (I can understand you wanting to use PayPal for the safety, but I have made good honest deals with many cS members over the last five years.)

Please let me know if you would like me to send you scans of the WSS litho, and Steve Zarelli's LOA.

Incidentally, this was going to remain in my collection as my premiere Armstrong autograph item, but a couple of weeks ago I was the top bidder on a very specific autograph item that I've wanted to get since I started collecting space autographs: one of the original 1959 NASA newsletters signed by the Mercury 7 with their vintage signatures. (You won't be able to see an image unless you are signed in, so here's another auction listing with an image you can see.)

I am happy to have this, and the timing is great: in just a couple of weeks I get to teach my students about the space program and I'll be able to bring it in and say something like "This is an original 1959 NASA newsletter about the first seven astronauts, but it's got handwriting all over it... wait a minute..."

However, I've decided I need to sell a bunch more items because of this buy, and because of our nice new bigger house's nice new bigger mortgage payments! Later this week I'll be posting a flown Apollo X Robbins medallion, at least one Apollo 11 crew-signed item, and a few more things.

All times are CT (US)
