I am looking to buy a vintage glossy (preferably a colour version of Glenn in his spacesuit or climbing into the craft). I want to send a vintage glossy to Glenn and request his autograph.A note to US sellers: If someone in the US would be willing to sell one to me and go to the trouble of posting it directly to John Glenn, as well as adding a pre-paid board backed envelope to go with it, I will happily pay extra (and obviously cover all costs). If you can send me a copy of the image and your price that would be super, thanks! |

I might have a vintage glossy of Glenn that you're seeking. Just a question first... are you a dealer or a collector? |

Both actually, but this will be for my personal collection. I want a personalised photo from Glenn. |

I recently had a pair of items signed by Sen. Glenn, but in the course of getting that done I spoke with his [polite, enthusiastic and helpful] office assistant and she made the point that any signature requests INCLUDE a name (ie "To _____"). I had requested merely his signature on an OSS Space Shuttle litho and a Lego Space Shuttle piece both for my son Mike thinking that it would be less writing, but apparently his preference is to personalize his signature now to prevent immediate resale on eBay. Of course, the two items I received will remain in my family (hopefully for decades), and being personalized makes 'em that much better! |

Agreed, the idea of a signed photo of Glenn with my name on it... well, that is one I look forward to! |

Just thought I'd mention that you might want to get a photo printed on archival paper. I can certainly understand the appeal of a vintage print, but there's always the chance that a decades-old print might start to show signs of age.A couple of years ago I found the highest-resolution images available online of a couple of dozen Glenn photos, and I could get one printed and send it in for you. |
