Since my site is referenced above I'd like to note that I updated my site a little while ago to try to tone down the Apollo 11 references.

In one particular week there were about three different Silver Snoopy pins on sale all of which the sellers were saying were Apollo 11 versions. As far as I am concerned I have yet to see any single pin that can be said with certainty to have been flown on Apollo 11, although one of this Type XV may have.

Clearly the way I originally worded my descriptions was open to misinterpretation so I have tried to clarify a muddled picture as best I can with more recent updates.

In any case the particular type offered here by David does appear date from around 1969. We may find more evidence in future that links this with Apollo 11 or other flights.

The price is competitive compared with recent sales of similar Apollo-era pins without docs, so this represents a good deal in my opinion.

My apologies to Chris (spaced out) for quoting his site without contacting him first.

SpaceFlownArtifacts.com is an invaluable reference.

No problem David. I'm only trying to clarify for collectors the uncertain links between pin types and missions.
