Apollo 11 Robbins Medallion presented directly to it's first (and current) owner by that mission's flight crew. Fact is, the owner is a major hero in his own right. Visit Farthest Reaches and read all about it under Apollo 11 memorabilia. While you're at it, why not browse the other Robbins Medallions sprinkled throughout the site, with several others being added in the days to come.

Oh, and the price? This Apollo 11 Robbins is being offered with outstanding provenance for $18,000. Hmmmmm....$18K vs $30K?? You do the math and decide for yourself. Thanks to all for your continued support!!

OK - I see that the reserve was hit on the AA auction for the Apollo XI Robbins Medallion at $30,050. The one on Farthest Reaches sold for $18,000.

So, you're looking at a $12,050 COA. And the source of the one on FarthestReaches is indisputable as someone who was very close to ALL of the astronauts - it's documented many times over.

Now, if memory serves [and I'm not so sure of that lately], all 450 medallions flew in the CM [together] packed away in some locker somewhere. So, regardless if you have #1 or #450, they all flew. I just don't get it.

Now, I know that Apollo XI is the "magical flight", but wouldn't the Apollo XIII medallions be worth even more because they were the "first" to the moon? After all, neither the Apollo XIII or the Apollo XI were surface flown.

I just don't get it sometimes. And I've been around too long to try to figure it out.

All times are CT (US)
