Hi,
I'm looking to buy old 8mm and Super 8 film reels on space related matters. Any condition, preferably in original boxes.

Particularly looking out for 'Apollo 17 : Apollo's Final Moonshot' from Columbia Films; pretty much anything from Holiday Films; and any and all Soviet/Eastern Bloc material.

Let me know if you've got anything to sell at matt@watcuts.com and I'll make you an offer.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Don't know if you have tried yet, but there are usually some 8mm Apollo films around on Ebay.

Try /Movies and Television/Videos, Film/8mm

then put "Apollo" into the search box.

There's a few Apollo 11 there at the moment, including an original NAR one !

Happy collecting.......Adam

While we're on the subject, does anyone know why the old 8mm films turn red? Is there anything you can do to reverse it?

Thanks - Danno

Hi Danno,
Not an expert but I gather it's pretty much irreversible. I've got several films in the same state myself.

And thanks for the suggestion Adam.

Cheers,
Matt

I have a few super 8mm reels from a company that used to be known as Movie Newsreels. They cover several Apollo missions. I have been thinking about selling them.

Hi Orthon,
I have some (but not all) of the Movie Newsreels, courtesy of my last request on collectSPACE several months ago.
I'd be interested to know which titles you have.
Cheers,
Matt

Hi Orthon,
Alas, I already have those two; and I was getting all excited

If you're still thinking of selling them your best bet is to post them on eBay in both 'Space Memorabilia' and 'Film:8mm' categories simultaneously.

Thanks for the offer anyway.
Cheers,
Matt
