As part of its free Astronomy Nights program, the USS Intrepid, prime recovery ship for MA-7/Aurora 7 and GT-3/Molly Brown, will hold activities for families and kids on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 5 to 9 pm. It will include an Astro Live "Art in Space" discussion at 6:30 p.m. with former Shuttle astronaut (and artist) Nicole Stott, and Inspiration4 astronaut Dr Sian Proctor, moderated by shuttle astronaut Mike Massimino who serves as an advisor to exhibits at the Intrepid. The event will take place in the Shuttle Enterprise Pavilion on the flight deck. Again, the events are free; museum doors open at 5 p.m. but expect the event space inside the Shuttle pavilion (which opens at 6 p.m.) to fill up quickly. | |
