Space Center Houston release
From Dreams to Orbit

How a shy, nerdy kid saw his art fly into space

At 12 p.m. on March 5, 2022, special guest Tim Gagnon will give a presentation on how he became a successful space artist designing NASA emblems and insignias for various human spaceflight missions.

Many of the patches he designed will be available for purchase, and Gagnon will be available to sign them in front of Space Traders following his presentation.

This special event will be included in general admission.

I am thrilled to finally be able to share that I'll be speaking at Space Center Houston on Saturday, March 5th.

If it’s possible I'd love to see some friendly faces in the audience.

This will be the first (but hopefully not the last) time I've been to Houston and Johnson Space Center.

That's great Tim and wish I was in the Houston area to hear your presentation. Have you done similar talks on the Florida Space Coast as I am sure the American Space Museum would love to have you?

Hey Ken — thanks for the kind words.

I have given a similar talk at the ASM as well as a "Stay Curious." I've also presented to the Palm Bay C of C.

Tim, looking forward to seeing you again and hearing your presentation. (We first met a few years back at The Space Store in Cocoa, FL) At that time, you were working with Brett Anderson to prepare the store for its grand opening, a couple of weeks later. I dropped by, purchased a couple of items, and enjoyed an interesting and informative conversation with you about our common interest in space.

We had already planned on being in Beaumont this coming weekend for the RV show so we will try to tweak our schedule a bit and head on down the road another 75 miles to Space Center Houston.

All times are CT (US)
