Johnson Space Center (JSC) employee notice
Join Us for Wheels Stop and to Welcome Home the STS-135 Crew!

Join your fellow JSC team members, past and present, in watching as Atlantis touches down at Kennedy Space Center for the final time on Thursday, July 21. Then on Friday, July 22, welcome home the crew of Atlantis at Ellington Field!

On Thursday, view the landing on a jumbo screen in front of Building 1, have pictures taken with your team members in front of a banner commemorating the space shuttle, receive commemorative and educational shuttle program items, and check out the Driven to Explore trailer with an Apollo 17 moon rock to touch. A continental breakfast will also be available for you to enjoy.

Badged employees may bring family and friends in their vehicle to the celebration. All traffic must enter via Gate 1, which will open one hour prior to landing. Landing is currently scheduled bright and early for 4:56 a.m. on Thursday.

On Friday at 4 p.m., NASA's final shuttle crew will arrive back in Houston. Come celebrate the safe return of Atlantis and her crew in Hangar 990. Gates will open at 3:30.

Anyone attending? If so, please message me offline. Thank you!

Also, is this open to the public or just to employees and media?
